Comment: This phone has attracted more attention than any other phone I have ever owned. I switch my phones out about every 6 months for one reason or another (bored with it, it breaks, etc). I think I will keep this phone for a while. Everyone who sees it allways asks if they can see it and hold it. It just looks cool!
It does not offer as many options as some phones out there, but it does come w/ Bluetooth, 2 batteries, a charging dock, a pouch, and a hands free (wired) option. It feels more solid than the Razr and not as bulky as the Treo 650 (my last 2 phones).
I have not had to switch to the other battery and the bluetooth works great! The pouch isn't the best carry option (I purchased an after market holster) and I already had a bluetooth headset so I didn't use the wired option.
I have noticed it is very easy to turn the power off by mistake. I set my phone to lock the keys after 5 sec, but it's not much of an issue since the phone automatically unlocks when you slide the keys/screen up.
Overall, a really cool phone that works great. In my opinion has all the options you could want in a CELL PHONE, and some that are nice to have (calendar, camera) from time to time but don't really make or break it for me.

Comment: I have owned this phone for about 6 months now. It was given to me as a gift last summer, and although it was an expensive purchase, I can honestly say that if someone hadn't bought it for me, I'd have bought it myself.

From its sleek stainless steel cover to its scratchless screen, this phone is definitely a one of a kind out there in the market.

I have seen people compare it to the motorola razr, but I can't see any grounds for comparison, except for possibly the battery life which is very weak. But, it does come with an extra battery, and the desk charger makes it possible to charge both the phone and the extra batter at the same time, so Nokia really did think hard about fixing the flaws.

All in all, this would be the perfect new accessory to your handbag/pocket. Not only is it a 'matrix-looking' phone, but it does everything that a phone does, and with style.

Comment: Love the sleek look, slim design and sliding face that hides the keys. The camera is ok, but when I bought the phone I wasn't buying it for the camera but more for the design. Although the phone is a little heavier than I usually like and the keys are a little small and close together I'd have to say that overall this is a great phone and I am happy with it.

Summary: This is the Best Phone I ever used!!
Comment: I don't get it. Before I ordered this phone, I read all the reviews listed here. I understand that some may have received faulty equipment, I have personally found this to be the best made phone I have come across.It's about as rock solid as any phone I have used. As far as the sliding mechanism being "rickedy", I don't see it, I find that it is very well made and solid. Not only is it a hefty piece, but you can do things with it that you can't with others. For example, I have been using a Motorola SLVR for about 6 months. When I purchased it, the sales rep told me that it was Bluetooth enabled and the possibilities were endless. WOW!!! It must be really cool!! HA!! The only thing that is Bluetooth about it is the fact that you can use a wireless earpiece. That's it! With the Nokia 8801, I have been able to add songs, video, and a host of other files with drag and drop ease all using Bluetooth. You have access to everthing that is in it. One thing I will agree on with the other reviews is that the keys are a little small, but that turns out to be irrelevent once you get use to it. Yes, the price is a little steep, but you get what you pay for after all. So there you have it. Functionality and Great looks. What more could you want!! I would recommend this phone to anyone who asked.

Summary: Timeless design and luxury...

I just got this phone this week and I am happy to get it. I am
a fan of previous version of this kind, 8890 titanium, I have had around 5 of them in 2 different versions plus the nokia 9290 since 2000 and recently I got the V3 razor which every single person has on the street! I decided to go with something unique and absolutely timeless,the 8801.

first of all, to other users and buyers, if you keep this phone in its pouch it wont get dirty and scratched. and for some reviewers:

the pouch is the ACTUAL cleaning accessory for the phone! it immediately cleans up all the residue and fingerprints etc.

I recommend to use this phone with bluetooth device(I have got the discovery 640 kit with it) because the second you hold and put on your ears the screen gets little prints on it plus you prevent dropping it and getting it dirty with your hands..the reception and the battery life is very good. again this has a slim ion battery it NEEDS to be charged at least 10 hours in full if you use the phone right away without fully charged it will not function properly and it will loose its power shortly.

this is a phone for daily use but not a business oriented one
if you need for business you`re better of with any PDA in the market.

Believe me, anybody sees this phone raises their eyebrows and
hold their breath for couple seconds and say WOW ..:)

it has a awesome charger that lids up in electric blue at the whole bottom. it looks beautiful at night time.

if you`re a sophisticated person, likes mobility.luxury, and quality this phone is absolutely for you.

Ask yourself this simple question, would you rather get a metal phone that will last for years or will you get a plastic made phone that will last only couple years that`d fade,scratch or gets out of fashion?
