Summary: Palm 750 replacing Palm 650
Comment: I have been a Palm user for about 5 years. My Palm 600 series was dropped and quit. I replaced it with the Palm 750.
I liked the old operating system better than the windows based 750. The 750 will not sync with ACT! I have used this contact manager for 15 years and do not intend to switch. The old 600 series did sync direct with ACT!.
Since I can no longer sync with ACT, my next phone will be something other than Palm. I liked Palm because of the ACT connection. I have not had much fun with the new operating system. It might be training time, but it sures feels bulky.

Summary: Solid, affordable phone
Comment: I too (along with several other reviewers) have noticed that this phone has received a lot of hate. After about a month of searching I specifically choose this phone as it fulfills a number of roles that others just (surprisingly) don't.

1. Brand-new, unlocked GSM models are floating around at rock bottom prices (I picked mine up for $100 USD).
2. The Treo 750 remains one of the only affordable, unlocked GSM models that has both a manual QWERTY keyboard and a touch-screen.
3. It's international. The GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz bands will provide you with 3G capability in most countries. Most people don't bother to check their band options...such capabilities are extremely important if you travel internationally in order for you to enjoy all aspects of your phone.

Yeah, it's a bit big compared to the latest stuff and even with WindowsMobile 6.1 installed, it runs slower. But come on...the latest unlocked GSM phones run upwards of $800-1000USD! This bad boy is affordable and gets the job done in any country (I travel a lot).

Summary: unlocked Treo 750
Comment: Phone came as advertised and before scheduled--excellent. Only complaint is the same as with my previous Treo, that it wants to rename the smart media card every so often. This means that the programs on the card are unavailable until I reload them. The data is not lost. Just not available until I reload the start instructions. The seller did a great job.
