Summary: This is it
Comment: Well, its pretty much what I was looking for.

The screen is OK, I can read everything perfectly due to the font size and the back light. Now under the sun is a different deal, for some reason it's hard to read, but being not much of a day person so it doesn't bother me at all.

The keys are really good, I really like the grip, I just use the tip of my fingers and nails and the keys work like a snapple cap.

Well the software is nothing new, If you've had any of the latest SE it's pretty much the same, but it's like the saying goes: "If it's not broken don't fix it."

I bought this phone because of the specs and the functions it has, being a serious aural junkie I am. Not having 3G available where I live (Or having it, but only a handful of people using it for a really high fee). In other words It's like I traded 3G for Infrared. Since my other interests where the W880 and the W660.

The speaker was perfect, Ive never missed a call (Unless I'm in a different floor watching a movie)

The phone is really slim and sexy it feels great to grab it and it fits perfectly in your pocket.

The only thing I didn't like was the 512mb M2 card they ship with the phone, since I use the phone as a Walkman more than a phone a little space doesn't bother me, but I guess Its because the M2s are more expensive than the Pro duo that other phone use, they cannot ship 1gb ones.

This is an overall great phone with great looks and style, excellent specs and if you're an aural junkie like me, and you don't need 3G maybe this will be it for you too.

Summary: If you love Nokia's phone....
Comment: If you love Nokia's phone is because you don't have a Sony-Ericsson's phone..... It the best phone...... It's amazing.... 6 stars!!!!

Saludos.....
Have a nice Day....

Summary: Needs work on buttons and audio jack connection
Comment: Good phone, good size, good features. (Mine is black front/grey back)

Problems:
1. buttons could be much better. They are small and under the number. Even on 100 year old phones the user would put their finger right on the number they wanted to activate for dialing. Same goes for computer keys.

2. the audio jack and USB connection use the same port. This makes the headphones need an adapter to plug into the phone, and it is a bulky adapter. The phone has bluetooth capability, why not get rid of this bulky connection from the phone and the need for a USB cable and send the user a $3 USB bluetooth dongle for when the user wants to connect to a computer? Also there are other far batter, less bulky connections on phones to allow for handsfree connection.

Summary: small but packed !
Comment: This is a great little phone that fits in your pocket or purse, yet it's packed with features and capabilites, tailored for every aspects of your life: FM radio, MP3 player, camera, caledar, internet access... and of course phone !

My only regret is that the FM radio does not work without the earphones, which act as antenaes.

Summary: Great Walkman Player, Average Camera
Comment: The Sony Ericsson w610 has really smooth, curvy and downright gorgeous lines, but as the phone's front chassis is really glossy, if you take a little closer look at the unit, you will notice some slight unevenness on the surface. I've compared my own unit with a few other w610, and some of them look better and some of them look worse than mine, but given the fact that the phone is an entry level device (given the multimedia specifications and the price), I suppose Sony Ericsson has no reason to pay too much attention to the built quality of the phone.

The sound of the multimedia player of this device is absolutely sublime. The built-in 5 band equalizer hits all the right frequency bands, with very punchy and deep, low-end bass and very high and sharp treble. The improved software has eliminated the annoying "clicking noise" found on the k750, w800, w810 and even the w850 whenever you change tracks or pause or stop a song midway. Instead of a sudden stop followed by a loud click, the music fades in or out when you press the play / stop button.

The camera, although comes with the much missed auto focus feature (missing from all the W series since the w850i was lauched, making all the w series models essentially nothing more than just Walkman phones with cheap cameras), is a step down from the w800 and the w810. The images are generally very noisy (lots of color noise over the entire image), and the shuttle speed / ISO adjustment is really poor under the Auto mode. If you're taking any pictures inside a well-lit office, be sure to turn on the sports mode (under scene selection) or prepare to end up with blurred images. The virtual shuttle goes as slow as 1/8 in most places under the auto mode, which makes no sense to me. Also, it seems that the lowest the ISO can go to is around ISO 125, which i suppose is not a problem since some high end Sony cameras even start with ISO 160, but the noise level of the images taken at ISO 125 is so high that it makes you wonder if the camera is actually shooting at ISO 600 or higher.

I have a feeling the w800 and 810 will probably go down in the Sony Ericsson history as two of the most well rounded candy-bar Walkman phone models.

The video shooting quality of this model is typically Sony Ericsson (at less than the size of a postage stamp).

So if you're looking for a really compact Sony Ericsson model that plays music well and look really good, this phone is a really good buy given the price tag. But do test out the camera features or check out samples of the pictures taken with the built-in camera and make sure you can live with the quality of the images before putting your money down for it.
